Minnesota Tz 2nd Annual
NTBA Northern Mini NATS
I was a little late for breakfast, so everybody thought I had a late night. The NTBA prez Mr Bill Darr is sitting across from me holding up his hand asking me how many fingers Dave? Na, he was just giving me waitress pinching instructions. Um, no wait, that was someone else. Actually I don’t recall the details of that conversation, although, we did have a good time.

Our trip to Winnebago was cancelled, so the boys from NM found us a car lot to visit that had several older
vintage vehicles on the lot and inside the buildings. Nice unplanned cruise, thanks guys.

Thanks to Ron Henningsen for the photos again this year. I always did like those through the windshield shots.

Friday night cruise in social by Low Bucks Car Club. They held a special parking area for the Tz again this year.

Hope no one is offended, we got some but shots here. Mr Big Dog those are some big azz tires you got there.

A few more long hall travelers. The last T you only see the top of,
belonged to a fine member of ours that past away last year, Mr Adrian Gaard.

Although we had Tz from as far away as ND, NM and TX, Steve and Pat Arnold from CA were presented the long distance award by Low Bucks. Over 2200 miles to us, their first stop of many to come on their trip. After the Mini Nats they headed to
Springfield, IL for the NTBA Nationals and then several other shows before making it back home
with no breakdowns or problems with a total of 5806 miles in less than 4 weeks, congratulations.

Saturday morning, Low Bucks Show N Shine, they set up the Tz on a hill close to
the trophy shack. Although there was a mix up and one T was up a block away.

I think by the sign posted, I don’t have to say where these guys are from.

Here is the T that was parked away from us. We didn’t have a good photo of them
this year, so I am posting one we had from last years cruise lineup.

Here is closer shot of Harley & Linda Alcox’s T from IA. They drive this one all over and also ended up at the Nats.

Another shot of our little corner of the show. I heard several comments about the wide variety of Tz we had there.

Get a load of these two clowns. Would ya like to know what they are saying. Well, I'll tell ya anyway. Gary on the left is saying, hey this was a pretty good idea, rather than chasing woman, just let them come to us. My response, yup. Yes that was me on the right. Well, there were four other cameras pointing at us at the time and my wife was one of them, what more could I say.

Here are the long distance travelers again (Steve and Pat Arnold) with their Best Ford of the Show N Shine award.

After the Low Bucks Show N Shine we only had a short amount of time before we had to line up for the police escorted cruise. Unfortunately we were unable to get photos of the pre cruise lineup and were having too much fun on the run to take photos. My understanding is they had over 350 cars on the cruise again this year. One of out Tz did not complete the cruise. Gary Bader, lost 3 lug nuts and busted those 3 studs during the cruise and was forced to stop. In my mirror I saw him wave everyone on who tried to stop and help. After talking with him on the phone, he stated for us to finish the cruise and come back for him. The wife and I got a few tools, got him rolling and back to the hotel by swapping a lug from the other side.

Sunday morning the NTBA members were out in full force working on the wheel.

I have never seen so many, have so much fun, turning a difficult situation for one member into a bearable and pleasurable experience.
I think Gary actually had the most fun that morning, due to the present company. Fantastic membership in this club.

Unfortunately the wheel must have gotten bent before he pulled over the night before or while we were driving back to the hotel. After replacing the studs, the wheel still wobbled. Mr Big Dog saved the day by going well beyond the call of duty. They loaded Gary’s T in Big Dogs trailer and Gary (lucky dog) drove Mr Big Dogs T while Big Dog drove his truck and trailer to a Minnesota Tz members house (Tony Borglum) north of Albert Lea. The wife and I followed & gave Gary a ride the rest of the way home.

My wheel may be bent, but I am going to keep these bugs off the windshield.

We had a very enjoyable and relaxing weekend and would like
to thank everyone for attending. We hope to see you all next year.
